Consigned to Oblivion - Hierarchy Pyramid

Description

King: Of course he's at the top. He's in love with power. He controls everything in the kingdom, absolutely everything, but there is one being out in Oblivion that could beat him down at her fullest strength....

Contractor: The contractor is responsible for bringing fresh new souls into Deraie, so of course he's got a big name. He can get away with pretty much anything, but despite his high ranking, he's incredibly disposable as far as the king is concerned. The contractor is basically the kingdom's dog, and when he's off summons, he can be found doing a variety of other tasks.

Manticores: It comes as a surprise to many of Deraie's inhabitants that the manticore isn't at the top of the pyramid, since even the king seems to worship them, but they are, in actuality, ranked below even the contractor. They are a symbol of power to Deraie, and have monuments and statues erected to them throughout the city. Manticores are held in high honor, and are kept either within the castle, or nearer to the castle than most other inhabitants.

Noble Class: No mortals exist in this class, of course, and for whatever twisted reason, much of it is made up of supposedly beautiful individuals, such as elves, fairies, unicorns, and similar creatures. Of course, there are less beautiful creatures that hold the name of the noble, and they aren't treated any differently. The noble class is made up of business owners, wealthy beings, names honored by the king, and creatures that are highly respected in mythology. You can also find well known, but retired, fighters from the Amphitheater here. They're famous by name and indulge in the spoils of the noble class.

Middle Class: Merchants and skilled craftsmen can be found here, and believe it or not, there is room here for mortals, however little there are. Popular and well off fighters are here as well.

Working Class: This is the poorest class of the three, and they struggle to get by. Mortals and mythical creatures of all kinds can be found here. In fact, most mortals share the mortal and working class, since they need to find work to survive in Deraie, alongside their involvement in the games. The working class tends to face much disrespect and disregard, but this is also one of the largest classes in the kingdom.

Mortals: There are no mythical creatures in this class, obviously. This is the dirt of the kingdom, the part of the pyramid that everyone else tends to walk on. This is the largest class of the kingdom, and despite how lowly they are treated, they're the next generation of Deraie.
